Default ? to those with aftermarket antennas

I have a question for those who have removed their factory antennas & either replaced them with either the S2000 antenna or a different one

last month i removed my factory power antenna & sealed up the hole with the Honda antenna plug

i also removed my rear wiper that i never used

i filled the washer nozzle hole left with this antenna

my problem is now my reception is like crap

has anyone used an antenna booster?

i'm looking to get more than one station but can't seem to make it happen
what does everyone else do to get bettter reception?

couldn't you replace your existing antenna and wire up one of those vw antennas? they look just like yours but a bit longer.

Is that little antenna amplified? I had the longer version on my old car, but it was amplified, and picked up pretty good signal, equivalent to the stock one.

not sure if this will help or not since you already got the little antenna. but i picked up an internal antenna that mounts to the inside of the windsheild. it has great reception and the outside of the car is left looking clean. total it cost 60 bucks and installed in about 15 min.
