Default GC Springs Question

Can i use the stock upper mount (in the rear) or do i need that $5 poly Donut you get from Ground Control. I already have new mounts for the front with the little donut.

Thanks,

RJ

Default Re: GC Springs Question (.RJ)

You can use the stock upper spring isolating rubber but the stock spring ID is greater than the 2.5 ID race spring. I have done it by taking a knife and cutting a small pie section out of the OE rubber to make it fit around the 2.5 spring.

The other alternative is to leave the diameter the same but cut away the little square castlations that usually sit on the ID of the stock spring and this lets the spring fall where it wants to. Maybe someone has yet another method. I rather like the GC urethane rings as they are pretty tidy but not necessary.
