my 97 itg driver side door was locked up last night, i coundn't even open it with the
car key, it's ok this morinig. i'm thinkin about taking off the inside panel to see what's going wrong, anybody expericed it? anyhelp will be appreciated!!

 

Roll down windows open the door. 3 screws to take off. One is located in the handle of the door. 2nd is a black plastic screw a couple of inches under the driver mirror. 3rd is behind a small cover of door lock handle. Remove door lock handle. disconnected power lock. Use flat head to pry door panel. Lift door panel up and at 45 degree to take off panel.

 

not sure where you're located, but could it be ice in the lock? (could you unlock from the inside?)

I had the same prob. Your lock is just frozen, thats if you live in the Jersey,CT,VA, PA area. Or Colorado, or somewhere cold. If not then you probably have a lock problem. My lock was so frozen here in jersey that i could't even move it from the inside, after i was forced to climb in from the trunk.
