Default Koni Yellows Explained

does anyone have an explanation for how the koni yellows are able to adjust the dampness? any pictures possibly? i need some info for school tomorrow. thanks.

Well, they probably get pretty damp if they blow up and leak oil...

In general, dampers work by forcing oil through a small oriface; the faster you try to compress or expand the damper, the more it resists. In general, the damping is adjusted by making the oriface larger (for less damping) or smaller (for more damping). I don't know about Konis specifically, nor do I know how they adjust rebound independently of compression. Any takers?

Koni yellow is single adjustable only.
It only adjusts the rebound. Compression is unaffected.
