Default Can KYB GR2's hold the load?

Someone said that KYB GR2s can't hold a lowered car for long. My car is dropped about 2.5". I might have a bad strut right now, but I need to know if I should replace that strut or just get AGXs?

yea ive heard from friends and some research of my own that the gr2's are crappy for a slammed ride of more than 1.5" drop. That goes for the same for the AGX's as well. They cant handle a slammed car. Well thats basically for any strut, shock system... Go with the koni yellows i have only heard good, but u guys might think of trying to raise your cars up a bit, if you guys wanan utilize ur moneys worth and not blow out the shocks. Go with some sport springs or coilovers.
