Default oil burning problem

i'm new to this forum but not new to cars. i have a 1990 prelude si with H&R springs, (2" drop) and gsr wheels painted black and the usual intake and exhaust. Now i've had my car for about two years now and the oil consumption is getting progressively worse. My car burns a quart of oil every three hundred miles or so. I have 134 xxx miles on it and my question to everybody is "Am i the only one with this excessive oil burning problem"?. I've heard this problem is due to a poor rod/sroke ratio. I really love my car and i have two options. One is to sell the car which is my last option and two is to upgrade to an h22. i know swapping an h22 into an 90 si is not a common swap but i'm seriously considering it I am tired of adding a quart of oil every time i fill up my tank.
