i am guessing $700-800.. really depends on your location though.
do it yourself.
if you are spending hte money on a greddy kit, just install it. they made it to just bolt on, unlike some of the other kits
Don't be overwhelmed by a turbo kit. That is exactly what it is...a "KIT." Everything is made to bolt on. It is rediculous to pay that kind of money for a turbo install.
is it that simple to install a turbo?.. i have no instructions, NOTHING.. bought a custom maxrev kit and well.. i could ask someone experienced to install it for cheap, but i dont know.. you think its not worth it getting it installed by a shop?.. i was thinkin of installing it with some friends, but i dont think it will be reliable and i dont want my car to be a guinea pig

Out of all the kits....the MAX rev one is the hardest to install if you don't know what you are getting into. Just remember to use new gaskets(exhaust manifold, oil pan), TAKE YOUR TIME! figure out where sruff goes...etc....check out jackmoves.com for some max rev install help.

...so i guess i should have it done by import builders..
dude please do the install yourself, if for not even just to save the money, learn something about your car, that way if anything goes wrong you may have a clue as how to correct it
i understand it will teach me, but i do not want to learn through expensive trial and error such as a turbo install that could seriously cause problems if not done correctly.. some pro's on the side would help, but i dont know any pros that would offer to help me install it...

do yourself a favor; install it yourself and learn as much as you can from the install, it benefits you when maintenance your turbo-car. use ht for reference. research is the key. best of all, it saves you ~$700--that could go to purchase some neat gadget.
good luck.
good luck.
Installing it yourself is fine if your handy with the wrench. some of the customers cars we have done turbo kits on couldnt install a CAI w/o breaking something. if you dont feel comfortable and are not good at all with the wrench. find a knowledgeable shop and avoid the headaches. it can cost you double if you screw something up doing it yourself. also if your own time is worth more than 20.00 a hour x30 hours that it may take to do it. youll enjoy it more if you drop off the car and pick it up in 2 days ready to boost.

a turbo is not much more complicated than a header and CAI, its actually a combo of both. the manifold would be like installing a header and the piping would be like a CAI...the only tough part wight be installing the blue box
a turbo is not very complicated at all, especially if its not intercooled kit

If you are good with tools and with your hands then do it yourself. If not then it might be better to pay a profressional to take care of it.
7-900 is the going rate on turbo kit installs.
