all motor set up, need imput
i was talking to a local performance shop that is very good about an all motor set up on my 2000 ITR. first off i already have aem cai, toda headers, apexi N1 cat-back, and clutch/fly.
he told me he would do the a complete head on the car
toda spec b's
toda cam gears
toda valve springs/
ti. retainers
toda head gasket
toda oil pump gear
port and polish
with the buddy club ECU
now that all sounds very nice but i thought that if you do that kinda work there was a couple other things you had to do like bigger injecters, sleave the block, maybe fuel rail or something.
need the imput guys if this set up is fine to run as is i am going to get a.s.a.p.
but if there is a couple of MUST HAVE's to be reliable please let me know.
thanks

1. Hondata or PowerFC, not a chipped ecu.
2. Definitely an FPR.
3. Might as well get prelude injectors.
4. I think the stock fuel rail is sufficient.
Just MO.

but other than the FPR everything will be fine to run as a daily driver(but still babied) and 93 octaine
sorry for being so paranoid but after dropping all this money into my car my warrenty is gonna be out the door and so will my money so i want to be 110% sure

I'm not the expert to give you 'definitive' answers.... there are many more experience/qualified people on here who can offer more assistance.
But, I'd say since your compression would be mid 11.x:1, 93 octane would be ok. I'd really consider some engine management besides a chipped ecu, though.

Definitly get an engine management system and get it tuned by a good tuner on a dyno. You have to remember that dyno tuning is a modificaton.

get a better timing belt
dont bother with the oil pump gear
why go with Bs? get Cs instead

I know this question has been asked before but arent C's a little less streetable? I've always wanted cams but I thought that Bs would be more practical. And with his compression he is lookign only at 11.0. Wont C's be overkill to the point that Bs would be better?
I always like easy tuning setup.
Toda B or Jun 3 cams with it's valvetrain
Ti retainers
camgears
Spoon/Mugen head gasket (why Toda ? Its not gonna raise the CR)
Hondata or chipped P28 with BC computer for fine tuning
For the above setups you don't have to worry fuel so FPR/fuel pump and bigger injectors are not necessary.
Good luck

2) have valvetrain installed = toda springs and Titanium retianers
3) use spec C cams with adj cam gears
4) get an obd2-1 ecu harness and OBD1 P28 ecu
5) send the P28 ecu to me to reprogram
forget the port polish crap, spend that money on pistons and rods ... and don;t mill head if you upgrade or plan to upgrade to higher compression pistons.

this is typeRicer hater, i am on my buddy's name,
ya i am gonna go with the hondata(unsure about what stage though)
and i forgot the write that he is giving me the toda timing belt too.
so other than that the set up sounds good and i also heard the spec C's arent good for daily driven and it has a ruff idel too. puts to much strain on the motor. but that i was i heard, but i would be the first one to bow down to the knowledge of sgt.
thanks for the imput guys
for all
