JG intake on B16 Who has it ??? WHat u think?
Me and my friends are doing a bulk buy 4 intakes and 4 70mm TB just wondering what are the gains im NA for now untill i turbo my GSR block.
the jg intake manifold only helps out mostly between the 7000 and 10000 rpm ranges but after u get turbo and other mods it may help a whole lot. venom intake manifolds are good too for the money
Unless you have a high compression high reving B16, or you plan on boosting it in the near future, you probally won't see that much of a gain. I would go with a skunk2.
i have the jg on my 2k b16a2 .. i can honestly say after i put it on, i felt a low end loss, not much though and it rips through 6k - 8krpm . . my mods are- cam gears, pulleys , CAI , greddy exhaust , magnacore wires, apexi VAFC and some other minor mods.. although i havent dyno'd it yet. i can def feel a difference. havent dyno'd yet cause going turbo in spring so not spending money on tuning.. like i said got turbo in mind.. so i think it was worth it.. hey let me know what you guys think of the TB ... i might want to get it as well..
The B16a2 manifold is a great manifold in stock form. Not much power will be gained if it is an every day driver. you will see some top end gains but it will be minimal unless IT REALLY needs the airflow. try a bigger throttle body only, you will like it. extrude honing the B16 manifold will give you the power you are looking for in the places you want it.
The Jg manifold is best for High boost turbo applications. Even the Type r manifold will make you ending up losing power. For the b16 stick with the original I.M
just my know so.
