ok im selling my teg and want to buy a 3rd gen teg whats the difference between an ls and rs. i want to build an ls/vtec. aslo dont both of them come with the same engine anyway so why does everyone say get an ls engine? please help

 

i think the only difference is interior mods. I think the LS has power locks and windows and most have sunroofs while the rs doesnt. Someone correct me if im wrong, ill say the only difference is the interior/weight...

 

My rs has power window but no power locks or sunroof. Yes all same engine

 

get an LS..."Luxury Sport"..newly found knowledge...

RS = lightest teg

 

I think the LS is supposed to have the better tranny though....

 

same exact engine and tranny for rs/ls/gs/se.

LS and RS have the same engine and tranny. In 97 and maybe even 96, the RS came with the tweater on the door panel, RS did not have a sunroof, no painted mirrors, no ABS, no cruise control and no AC but it did come with power door locks.
