D16A6 tranny bolt on D16Z6?
My brother may be buying my CRX and wanted to know if the D16A6 tranny would bolt on the D16Z6 longblock he plans on getting.. also when getting a clutch does it have to be for D16A6 or can it also be for D16Z6?
Tks for the advice.

the d16z6 will work with 88-91 si trannies.
if you use an 89-91 tranny, use the d16z6 flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, and the d16a6 release bearing.
if you use an 88 tranny, you need to use the d16a6 flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and release bearing. is is because the 88 use 21 splines vs. the 89-91 20 splines. the 89-91 will allow you to use a larger diameter clutch .
