Default fuel pressure question

car is b18c1 w/ USDM itr pistons, head milled PnP
the car is running so lean that we unplugged the fpr rasing the fuel pressure from 42psi (connected) to 52psi (disconnected). with this understanding, even by adding a fuel pressure regulator we're not going to be able to raise idle fpr higher then 52psi right? becasue w/ the stock fpr disconnected at 52psi it would be impossible to get it higher even w/ a adjustable fpr (connected of course) this making any sense? also why i have you guys on the fuel concept does anyone know what the stock injector cc is on the b18c1?

you make no sense but i will try to answer your question
if you get an adjustable fpr you can raise pressure higher.
stock b18c injectors are 240cc

i know i'm confusing the crap out of myself....lets try this again

if you disconnect the vacuum source to your stock fpr, it'll increase the fuel pressure.

will a fuel pressure reg. be able to adjust higher then that?

i was under the impression that the highest fuel pressure you can make would be when it's not receiving any vacuum from the motor ro when it's at WOT

Yes, but when you press teh gas you also release vacuum and causes pressure to go up.

and adjustable one should be able to. but you dont want to go far past 60psi

Correct, however that pressureis based on the spring inside the regulator.
By adding an adjustable fpr you can vary the rateof the spring.
