tires rubbing... any solutions..??
ok i just traded my 17s with 215/40/17 tires on em for some 16 inch slips with 225/50/16 inch tires. the wheels look good and all but the rear drivers side rubs when i take right turns or when i floor it. i guess because when i punch it the back drops and stuff but is there anyway to make it quit rubbing?? also i wanna know why my drivers side sits about 1/4-1/2 inch lower than the rest of the sides. thanks
do you have coilovers?? Im assuming you have springs otherwise this is a dumb ?
Your problem is 225/50/16 isn't properly plus sized for ludes..It is taller and a lil wider than normal I believe.
215/45/16 is the proper plus size if you wanna go wider. or the stock size is obviously correct which I believe is 205/50/16.
remember the second #(50) is a % of the first(225).
Also, the second # represents the height of the tire..so 50% of 225, is taller than 50% of 205.

You can "roll your fenders." Although, I recommend you get someone professional to do it, b/c you don't wanna end up w/ dented or irregularly bent fender wells. A lot of civic owners do that to accomodate extra wide tires.
Well the thing is its only this one side which makes me think that something is missing in this one strut. its always sat a lil lower than the others and it didnt effect anything till i got these new wheels and tires. im thinkin tommorrow i may pull the wheel off and bend up the lil piece that the fender has on the inside that sticks inward. im just gonna try and bend it up and maybe it will solve the problem. any other suggestions?
