Default crx(B16) running really lean??

ok got in my car this morning eveythings was cool !! got n after work .. running really lean? im mean so lean that the A/F guage is peged on red and if i get on the hwy. it will disapear?? any ideas on what i could check .. i do have a VAFC but it was tuned and it would bounce in and out of rich and stoch?? now its just red??

I'm no expert, but if you have an Autometer A/F gauge those are known to be terribly inaccurate. If you're really worried, pull your spark plugs and see if the tips are white. As to whats causing it, beats the heck out of me.

you're on the right track. i'll just add to that and say that ANY narrowband o2 sensor is not worthy, including the one that your afc is hooked up to. you will need a wideband sensor/monitor to know for sure. the easiest thing would be to put it on a dyno - they have a sensor there.

true .. normally the guage is pretty accurate or should i say it does the same thing everyday that it normaly does .. kinda just threw me for a scare when it was just peged on red and dissapear, something it neverrr does .. but i think my problem was i just didnt let it warm all the way up so i got in it and let it warm completely up (something i should always do ) and then drove it .. stayed on red for about 2 mins and then ran better then it ever has and is still doing to this day ?? i need to just get rid of it and get an EGT .. owell it works for now thanks for the help tho!!
