My friend just bought a 2002 Toyota Camry v6 automatic and is bragging that he could beat me in a race. If the weather is good we'll probably take it to a track this weekend..but im curious, which do you think would win? The camry is stock and i have only a CAi right now. Thanks

My friend's mother's bone stock 97 V6 auto Camry (97-01 generation) layed down a 14.9 on the 1/4. A GS-R w/ CAI and nothing else may have a run for its money.

 

im in on this before the lockdown

 

GSR will whoop on the Camry, race him for $$ unless he has a trick up his sleeve...

 

raced my friend's 97 V6 Camry; result--severe *** beating by the bone stock LS teg.

 

The GSR would wax the Camry all day long... Plain and simple...

I dunno what you guys are thinking but a lower model (lighter) 97-01 Camry V6 will walk all over a stock LS Integra, could probably inch ahead of a stock GS-R, and the V6 5-speed is even faster given a competent driver. I've seen times as low as 14.7 from those, 100% all stock, even stock POS 205/65-15 General tires.

my friend just bought a brand new V6 Camry Sport Model as well like 6 months ago. we raced one night, I raped him, no contest, i could've shut it down after the top of 2nd cause there was no way in hell he was catching up. heck, an escallade that was beside us beat him too..

this was with a bone stock 94 GSR as well.

 

those v6 camrys have some *****..but i sure hope a teg could take one

the V6 camry's are not really all that slow i think they put out something around 190-200hp stock and can move really well, also TRD makes a SC for it too a lighter GSR with a compotent driver should win
