Hey guys, I am working on an 89 Integra with the D16A1 motor, and I am trying to take off the Intake Manifold while the motor is in the car. My question is: How do I take of the 2 bolts that are on the bottom side of the intake right in the middle where the intake meets the head?? My socket keeps falling off of the nuts and will not turn them. Is there any kind of special socket or extension, etc. that I can use to get these two nuts off? Thanks for the help in advance.

 

have you tried using a swivel head on it?? mine came off just fine that way off of my hatch

 

Yup Just be patient... you'll get them.

universal joint in case u know it by this name... or elbow.... ha slots of names...

 

I used that swivel thingy but it just keeps sliding off of the bolt. I think I am going to use a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, socket, extension, swivel, to see if that will work better than the 3/8 drive. Thanks for the responses guys.
