3k to 10k?
Are you sure you don't mean 300 rpm to 1,000 rpm?

i wish i did, but thats what it is 3k-10k. the worst part is sometimes it will hit below idel rpm and feel like it's missfiring (lack of power, then kick back in out of no where)

Have you tried checking your IACV? See here: http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthrea...ht=idle+bounce

Also, do you have any mods that might have caused this?

i've actually done the cleanning for the IVAC and replaced the EVAC. What i said before about 10k, i ment 8k, but if my tach went to 10k i'm sure it would bounce to that.
I took off the vacuum line to the FPR and i could not feel any pressure well not enough to suck on to my finger. I put on my B&M fuel pressure guage that i've had for ever and it's running about 35psi w/ the FPR vacuum line on.

I've notice another thing the idle twitchs too. like little jumps here and there, ussally around 3k it will either jump + to around 7.5k or bog down to below idle rpms then KICK back in. I try to catch it by puting the clutch in.

Another thing i've noticed is that my fan is running constantly...i don't think it's supposed to do that..

Oh NO MODS at all just a stock 4dr 1990

Dang, that's wierd. As for your fan, maybe your fan switch or temp sensor is trippin. As for your idle problem, well, I don't know what to tell ya. Well, I do have a suggestion though...try posting this over at G2IC.com. There's a ton of guys over there that could probably help you diagnose and solve this problem.

when I had problems with my ecu program, the car would not rev past 3000rpm and ran and stumbled exactly how you explain it.

try resetting your ecu or swapping it for another.

uhhh 3000 to 10,000 rpm, after doing that only a few times I think your engine would have said buh-bye already.

it's on the back of the intake manifold, take it off and clean it w/ carb cleaner spary it let it sit and then blow it out w/ air (or air dry). It's easy to take off only two bolts holding it on and coolant lines.
The EVAC just take off the TB, and it's right below w/ two coolant lines going in. IVAC FITV same thing...

PatrickGSR94 , yea i know that but the motor is not reving w/ the tach bouncing, just dying when it goes to 0 on the tach. I wish it was reving then i'd know it was the ignitor or something simple...but no this is a pain in the ***

you also said that you fan is running constantly. when did you change your thermostat last ? i have a friend that's a honda tech at a local honda garage, and that seems to be a common problem he said with honda's is the thermostat. it's a cheap fix, might wanna try that.
