Has Anyone Ever Pieced Togeather A B18c1, Thoughts and Opinons Wanted Please Read!!!
Ok i currently have a 95 Integra ls, and instead of dumping money into my ls motor im looking at getting a b18c1 motor but i dont want to pay 3000.00 for the swap. So im looking at buying a complete block abd head and putting them togeather, has anyone ever done this and if so what was you total cost and how did it work. So far i have found a b18c1 head in good condtion for 500.00 so heres the price run down so far.
B18c1 Head $500.00
B18c1 Block $ 500.00 to 600.00
Front axles $200.00
ECU $150.00
Wireing Harness$100.00,
SO i figure im looking at $1550 to 1600 for the the swap minus the tranny but i think i will be ok to drive on my ls tranny until i can sell my b18b1 motor and then upgrade to a gsr tranny which should run me around another 900.00, Any suggestions???

I had a friend kinda piece one together...it was a b16 head and gsr block...he spent alot more the 5g's...I think he spent almost 10...but he had eagle rods, endyne pistons..so on and so forth. he ended up running 12's in think on drag radials or slicks I can't remember...not street tires. then my other frined...same type of car (92-95 civic coupe) bought a itr long block and used his gsr head...(jun package) and he also ran 12's...stock block on t slicks. hope that helps you any.
I for one was just gonna sell my gsr engine and buy a whole itr longblock with everything...it might be cheaper then piecing it together. but i have a head start...I have a GSR already...wiring and ecu and junk...axles...what ever...
good luck on your project.
