suspension is BOUNCY
I've got a 97 civic ex. Just installed some tokico blues in the rear and tokico illuminas in the front, and some coilovers off ebay. Lowered the car around 2". It feels okay for the most part, but it is a hell of a lot bouncier on bigger bumps. Is it the springs or the shocks? WOuld increasing/decreasing the damping on the fronts help at all?
springs, you will need to raise the spring into the shock for it to work properly. I did the shame thing. Tried to lower the car too much with coilovers and it was too bouncy.
is it bouncing repeatedly? or is it just one hard bounce?
yeah your ride is going to be rougher over speed bumps and pot holes
but if you car is bouncing like you've got airbags, or hydraulics....maybe your struts are blown.....but then they shouldnt be blown on 2" drop

I guess it's just one big bounce, but it's a BIG DAMN BOUNCE. Not rough, but bouncy. I don't see why the shocks would be blown though... onnly have 2000 miles or so on 'em.
Someone said in the tech forum that i need to cut my bumpstops... would that help? And maybe raise my rear a bit? It seems to be more in the rear, and my rears are lower than my front i think...
