if its your own policy it will be. if you get it on your parents policy it will be significantly less. hard part is getting it on the parents policy

Stick to cars, U live longer.. Newbies on bikes scare me!
Insurance is not bad depending on ur record. I furst bought my bike, a brand new 1996 Kaw ZX-7 I was 21 with a clean DMV record. Insurance on a monthly was 70$. Shop around with independent firms & make sure they cover ur a$$ good.

Newbies on bikes doesn't scare you. Idiots on a bike does!

I'm 19 years old, insurance for me alone:

2001 Honda CBR600F4i=
full coverage = $4,238 a year
liability = $687 a year

No speeding tickets ever. No traffic violation ever! Clean record! I don't have to knock on wood because I'm mature enough to not base my driving on pure luck

PS. Full coverage with parent's is $3,200 and liability is still the same.

That's not my point.

What Im sayin is that Newbies need reinforcement, cuz yes I remember how I was bak then. believe me, I've seen one too many newbies disappear, not cuz they are New..... but the fact that some refuse to accept the fact that they are NEwbies.

All I'm sayin is, take it easy. DOn t do what the guy in front of you is doing, cuz when it comes to it.... you might end up the opposite.

Peace

Normally you can dramatically reduce your insurance if you put the bike on the same policy as your car. I am not sure if ILOVERACING has his like this, but it doesn't sound like it from the price. I am 27 and have a point or two and my R6 is $25 a month with full coverage. I know that it is cheaper since I am over 25, but I don't think that it is that much cheaper. When I was 21-24 I paid like $35 a month for basic PL/PD.

Good luck

Progressive Auto Insurance...

It all depends on where you are living, whether or not you took a riding course, and other safety precautions you make for yourself and your bike.

$3,200 has two auto insurance stuck in it doh!

PS. AGE DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE

directly quoted from insurer, "It's not about IF you wreck, it's a matter of WHEN you wreck and HOW you wreck"
