Default loss of oil question...

can oil loss in engine make it cause to car to stall while driving??...
I was driving normally, then red light comes on, so I hold on to brake while waiting the light to turn green, when the car suddenly drops in rpm and just stalls/dies out...car seems running, but car dies out...could it be my battery?? or spark plugs?? or distibuter?? oh yea..I do have minor oil leak too..but when I checked oil, it still seem somewhat full...

just battery and oil light when it dies out...it doesnt happen often...but usually on hot days..just when I start the car and it gets warmed up...after driving for like 20 min it doesnt happen...oh yea I have turbocharger and 31k miles...if that helps..it could be that I have lot of oil loss....but I checked the dip stick it still is in somewhat medium range
