b16a2 owners,if you had $1500 what would you buy?
I have i/h/e,clutch,brake,vafc,and suspension upgrades already. I am looking for more power for my daily driver. What are the best bang for the buck engine mods within $1,500?
Definately cams, springs, retainers, and someone with half a brain to help you put them in. If you've still got money after that, dyno!
dp nos, but I don't think thats what you meant. So 1500 should cover ctr pistons and skunk2 stage 1's installed and tuned. easy 20 whp.

I would go with cams , full valtrain and maybe some ctr pistons to up your compression , you would see a huge difference and be extreamly satisfied, and if you go with a full valtrain i would definately go for stage 2 cams.
if you love your car dont ever put a skunk product on it
Any ways I would save up and buy a B18c5 bottom end from Acura and then modify from there. More TQ and HP to start with, then add valve tran and cams.

Why would you say that, I have Stage 2's and love them.

B18C1/c5 bottom end......more TQ and HP EVERYWHERE in the band and your bolt-ons should help that setup breathe even better.
Keep your 16 bottom just in case something happens....
A C1 bottom should go for 8-900 or so maybe a little more.....not bad for the power gain youll see.
Easy.....valvetrain.
easy, not valvetrain
good->start/finish a custom turbo project

yea, valvetrain....thats gunna give you TONS of HP

i would say the valvetrain too but if u r eventually planning on going turbo then it would be a true waste of your time to intall high compression pistons when down the road u will be needing low comp ones. so y dont u make a thought map of where u actually plan on going with this car and then start checking things off as you go. then u dont have to worry about buying parts and deciding later that u want something else.
i basically have my next 3 cars thought out already.

Oh so you have a higher HP suggestion spending no more than than the offered budget. If you say you would squeez then your gay and if your not gay then you don't have any suggestions.

But if you are talking valvetrain + cams..its a different story. U just might wanna say that. BTW: Do u notice i never said anything to be a dick to you? I would try to grow up if I were you, i would invest $1500 in classes that teach you how NOT to go off when someone is making a point, and listen rather...THEN u can make SUGGESTIONS or say, nah..i wouldn't do that. Otherwise you can continue to say "YOU ARE GAY"
if not a b18c block..
Then b20b/z block with some higher CR pistons, and maybe some cheap rods like Eagle.
That will be a very nice gain all thru the powerband, and your CR will be higher for when you want to go with a nice set of cams.
