Ahh I hate the snow and so does my Civic.....
I woke up yesterday and it looked like I was in the Swiss Alps! The beater is buried:

So I'm wondering will the stock springs and struts from a 92-95 Civic fit my 89 DX beater hatch? I need to raise it up a little bit since it's dropped 1.8" with Sportlines. I have a stock set of springs and struts from my 92 VX that I could use.

yes they will work
fronts will be jacked up (due to struts being longer on teh 5G cars), just remeber to use 5g forks with it.

Hell yeah your car just like my car is covered completely.
We are in a state of emergency since yesterday with abourt 30" of snow and it's still coming down off and on
Frighteningly enough, Subaru's are looking better and better to me.
Yesterday I had no problem getting around. Although the highways were covered with sleet and ice I got around fine.
Today - forget it.
Something strange and unusual happened.
When trying to go forward the tires would just sink up in the snow/ice. I couldn't understand it. A Nissan Altima up the street tooled around like it was nothing. I don't know why my tires wouldn't bite.
The neighbor with the Tahoe had to take me to work. I usually get the last laugh on acceleration, speed, and fuel economy - but today the weather OWNED both my Civics.

The snow is just beginning here in NH. Even those of us who are used to snow are having a hell of a time this go around. My DX was...OK in the snow, still had some difficult times with traction, but once I got in my Sienna, it was like night and day. That thing held the road extremely well.
Ohio got the **** beat out of it too!
thats funny, you guys get like a foot or two of snow and its called a blizzard. try living in alaska. a foot or two here is like an everyday thing. this winter has been really weird up here though, last week it was 45 above and raining now it is 15 below zero and snowing.

I got stuck in the snow 5 times in 3 days. This is what I get for trying to drive a lowered car in the snow. Now my car acts as a snow plow.
yea, thats what happens when your stuck in 12 - 14 inches of snow, and rocking back and fourth trying to get my car unstuck.
