Different ways to test whats causing CEL 41?
What are different ways to test out this code? Code 41 = (Primary Oxygen Sensor) - Heater circuit malfunction.
I've looked at the wires and the o2 sensor but they seem to test out ok. What eles could this be? I've had this CEL for a while and just want all the codes to go away before I dyno tune this thing

Clear codes ans start the car. If the check engine comes on immediatly then you need a new primary o2 sensor. You can't be wrong with that.
make sure the 2 black wires at the o2 sensor are still in the plug and making a
good connection. too many times those wires just fall out for some reason.

What car?? I'm guessing that you didn't have to convert from a 1 pin to a 4 pin oxygen sensor... Atleast if you don't have an EG with one or something.. If you have an OBD2 forget that i ever said anything about it... I was just wondering because you'll get a heater code if you have the polarity mixed up on the heater wires, but if you didn't have to mess with the wiring then that is not the problem... This is what I would do, continuity test the wires from the oxygen sensor plug back to the ECU pigtails just as shown below... Sorry about the shitty quality but i Just drew up the diagram really quick... Good Luck and lemme know if you need anything else..
Is there a way I can test the 02 sensor with a multimeter? If so what readings should I get...
EDIT: Sorry, I also forgot to mention that you use the DMM to test for continuity in case you didn't know that... hehehehe Also make sure the car is ignition is off when testing... Latez

Don't worry about it.... it's all good... The continuity setting is just a setting when there is a closed circuit, mine and most DMM's will beep when you have continuity... Touch the two probing leads together and go through the settings if you are unsure.... Here's a pic of my cheap one.... I'm just showing you this one because it has a lot less settings than my other one... It works just the same tho... As you can see it's the top setting and it says "CONT"....
If you replace the o2 sensor, your problems will dissappear
I tried it with 2 different 02 sensors and the light comes on right away after I cleared it.
OK I just tested the wires and they all tested out ok (they all beeped). So whats the next step?
BTW I have a JDM B16 (obd1) in my 92 Si hatch.

See I dont know if the other 02 sensor I bought is good (used), is there a way to make sure the o2 is bad?

Okay, well that's good... That means all your interior wiring is good... My guess is the oxygen sensor then... I guess you'll just need to try another one... I don't really know how you could test the O2 itself, but atleast everything else is straight.... Good Luck
