Quick question about pull-up lap belts.
I was installing my harness with my Sparco Evo seat today and I have a quick question. When you have a 5pt harness with pull-up lap belts, should the "adjuster" bar be on the inside of the seat harness hole or outside of the seat? My problem is when it is on the inside it adjusts fine but kind of digs into my hips and when it is on the outside of the seat I can't get it to adjust easily with just a "pull-up", it kind of jams up. Any suggestions?
I don't know about the correct way, but mine are on the inside. I have the first one-piece guide outside the seat and don't have room to put the adjuster outside even if I wanted to.
I had the same trouble. I had pull-downs and when I re-webbed the belts I converted them to pull-ups thinking they would be easier to adjust in the car.
When installed, there was no room for the adjuster on the right side of the seat.
To make a long story short I converted them back to pull down
