i know this has been broght up before.
but it did not have a great responce.
was looking for pictures of replacement
sunroofs or anything.
say fiber glass one or lexan or anything.
just want to see more pictures then were
in the other post.

Take it all out and welt in a pice of sheet metal. looks like ***, but works and saves weight. You could aslo, just get a DX roof and reweld that into place instaed of the Si one. If you really go out on a limb, you could find a glass top and weld that in.

well since i dont have a b16, i might as well just have shity **** all around .
glass tops are WAY To much, but damn that would be nice!!! i was thinking about getting the DX and welding it in. really want i want to do is make it carbon. and some how just make the back pop up. but i know if i did that and not ribbet it all down it will leek like a MO FO.
oh well. damn need some pictures. maybe i will just have to lexan it or something?

 

I think FAL, either already has a lexan filler piece. Or is in the process or making one. eMail them for more details.

 

the only thing i do not like about the lexan, is its clear and it shows to much. the hole from the inside say is a foot wide, and on top its like foot and a half and its looks kinda ulgy. so thats kinda why i dont want lexan, i guess i could paint the lexan so you can not see the ulgy part. but CF would be dope!!!

I told them, whoever it was...to check out http://www.mmracing.com for the body parts...they have a fiberglass filler piece for the sunroof on 88-91 CRX's. I've been thinking about getting this for a long time. You'd have to rivet into place, and could probably weatherproof it with some caulking-type sealant.

for sure!!! the one from honda web site thing, is like 160 . and i guess i would like to save weight, i could be fine with a new sun roof that bolts right in and works. yup.

there was a thread in this forum a few months ago with pics of the roof welded closed done by an h-t member. a search would probably turn it up.

 

yeah i think that was the DOPE!!! bule SIR one. he had a glass top and welded on a DX roof, because he was over the glass top and it was rusting. damn! maybe he can give me his glass top. that would be cool i will fit it

 

I think he just had a sunroof.

 

oh, ok, yeah sounded kinda not to very smart to replace a glass top with a DX hehe. oh well as for me, i am just going to have to make CF. let you guys know when its done, and will post pix.
