apexi n1 for 99 gsr fit my itr?
i know the rear lower control arms are different and didnt know if there would be a clearance issue or anything like that. im planning on purchasing a used n1 for the gsr to install on my itr, then also installing my dc sports jdm 4-1 header, up to a carsound cat maybe then too the n1. the only other question i have now is what kind of cat to get and what size. i know i need the collector size to be 2.5" for the jdm header style specs, but im not sure what size to get on the other end of the cat to bolt directly up to the apexi n1 without modification. any help will be greatly appreciated.
Check out the new Skunk2/RSR Invidia N1 catback. Very good quality, and sounds good. Available in fully polished stainless steel. I have the APEXi N1 catback. It's nice, but damn canister is HUGE!!
Good luck.
Good luck.

I have a '94-'99 GSR carsound cat for a jdm 4-1 header. Its brand new and if you buy it, you can use your GSR n1 cat-back.
Side note, All LS, '00-'01 , TYPE R cat-backs are the same length.

so what is the difference between your gsr carsound cat that bolts up to the dc sports jdm 4-1 header at 2.5" at the collector and also bolts directly up to an apexi n1 at like 2.25" on the other side of the cat, than an itr carsound cat that does this?
thanks, btw, how much are you asking for your cat?

Its 2.5 inches in/out. Even though the apexi n1 is 60mm (~2.36 inches), it will still bolt up fine. There is no difference between this GSR carsound and ITR carsound except one is a tad bit longer than the other to accomodate for different b-pipe sizes.
I have an '01 GSR which has the same b-pipe length as the type R. I have a '94-'99 apexi n1 cat-back with a '94-'99 carsound cat plus a jdm 4-1 header. Everything works great and fits perfect.
just found out that it is not a 99 i dont think, he has it on his 2000 gsr so i assume that the apexi n1 is for a 2000 gsr. would this make a difference? thanks
Yeah, if the n1 is a 2000 gsr model, it will bolt up to your stock cat. But you're gonna need to replace that cat with an ITR carsound cat if you want to run it with the JDM DC header. Good luck.
so if it is an 2000 gsr model exhaust, then i need to get the itr carsound cat that is 2.5" all the way thru, and then i can bolt it up to the dc jdm 4-1 and the apexi n1 and not have any exhaust leaks and not have to do any modifications?
thanks again man

Yeup that is correct.
'00-'01 GSR/All year LS/All year Type R Exhaust systems->> All have the same part number.
To not have any exhaust leaks, you need to make sure you have all your gaskets. Everything will bolt up fine without any modifications.

would those gaskets that i need come with the apexi n1 exhaust, or would i use the ones of my stock exhaust system? thanks
