Thank-you. Are they actually 400F/300R or are they 8K front (440lbs) 6K rear (330lbs)? Skunk2 lists all of there spring rates on their site in kg/mm and I was just curious? Thanks.

i guess you don't remember the commercial for the Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pops from the 80's. This kid in the ad asks a turtle (I think) and it doesn't know, then an owl, and the owl takes 3 licks and the cracks it open with his beak. At the end of the ad, the voice over goes "How many licks does it take to get to the center? The world may never know".

I used that to compare to your question about the 8k rate vs. 400lb rate, there has never been a real answer, just one everyone goes by.

Oh. Well yeah I have seen and remember the commercial. I was just wandering if anyone has looked on the springs to see if it has a lb/in rating like the eibach's used for GC's or if it has a kg/mm listing. Thanks for the provided info though.

Skunk2 springs are definitely kg/mm. Last I checked, they only offered 6,8, and 10K (and an odd 18K) so their kits will contain some variation of these 3.

Their listed in kg/mm. By my calculations:
6 kg/mm = 338 in/lbs
8 kg/mm = 451 in/lbs
10 kg/mm = 564 in/lbs
18 kg/mm = 1015 in/lbs

for my DC5 Type S...the skunk2 kit came with 8kg/mm (336lb/in) springs in the front and 6kg/mm (448lb/in) springs in the back...my friend's '00 Civic skunk2's came with the same front and rear spring rates as mine...late

From my calculations: 8kg/mm = 448lb/in
6kg/mm = 336lb/in

Ok cool. My whole point in doing this is I'm trying to find out if the off the shelf SKUNK2's A.) have 4 springs that are all 7" tall x 2.5" OD and B.) if the front are 8K and the rear are 6K. That way I can swap em and have the set-up I am looking for. Thanks guys for all the help.
