bump...

"January at Laguna. Dry, blue sky, 75 degrees....you will all move to California sooner or later..."
This is so true... it was one of the best events I have ever attended.

Someone else comes by and wants to borrow a rotor from Dave's car, as theirs cracked.
Cracked? Yea right.
More like "rotor broke off of hat"...

Every time that I read those stories I consider buying an S2000. Then I realize it has no real roof, nor the abitlity to put a decent 4 point in it.

DB-who likes real roofs

the old Laguna
At the risk of sounding way too young...

What was the old Laguna? When did they change it?

You know where the Andretti hairpin is?

That whole infield section wasn't there - there was just a terrifyingly fast left hand sweeper that headed you toward the hill.

Scott, who wishes he could have experienced the terror...

SpeedVentures guys are the best bunch to run with. I rack up almost twice as much track miles with them compared to some others (notably NASA organized events.)

A caliper that is 'too' powerful? There is no such thing.

Looks like the ring is to blame.
Inspection of brake componets (to check for cracks) after an event is a good thing.

FYI.. Camping at the track is wonderful.

I thought I was only one...

If you look at the first picture, you can get a glimpse of the old track in the foreground. I get really excited with seeing old sections of racetracks.

I already know I'm strange.

Here's the old track, with the new sections scribbled in, in red. The artist wishes to remain anonymous, for obvious reasons.
