LS for $2k with screwed up tranny.....(worth it?)
I found a clean 95 teg with jacked up tranny for $2000...... everything still look clean...interior and exterior is in perfect condition........The only problem is the tranny.....What happen was that he ran over the curve and put a big hole on the tranny and bent the front support bar a lil bit..... But i'm not sure if there are anyting that could "possibly" be wrong with the frame or mounts since it messed up the tranny.....?
Another thing is that the Title is from Oklahoma and i'm from Texas.......is title tranfering any different from in-state tranfering?

The front support bar? You mean that strut bar? If he managed to bend that by hitting a curb, watch out... I'd venture to say that thing's screwed. I'm sure others will chime in with more suggestions.
Sounds cheap if everything turns out okay. Be cautious when buying cars from Texas. Buddy told me that the reason why cars are being sold cheap in Texas is that dealer takes salvage titles from other states, and get a new clean title issued in Texas, or something like it. This must be true, nytime you check out ebay motors, most of the cars being sold off cheap is based in Texas.

there is no factory strut bar on a LS ... he must mean exactly what he said a support bar .. i can think of one that is on the underbody that is near the tranny ... but he didnt really specify
i'm not really sure what the real name of that bar is ....but the purpose of it to prevent heavy damages due to head-on collision.....(that big metal bar infront of the car below the radiator......i just can't think of the name rite now.....(one of those days)
zilverz....you're rite...that's the bar i'm talking about...

hell yea i think 2k is a good deal on a clean teg.. with full everything except a fucked up tranny? thats damn well wort it i think..
The front bumper support ...that's a bolt on piece and is easily replaceable for like 25 bucks. It's designed to absorb alot of the kinetic energy in a crash. you can just look at the front and see if anything that the support is attached to is bent...if it is, then I'd check the frame alignment, if the area where the support is bolted to is straight and no wrinkles, then the alignment should be fine....

For that much money you can't go wrong even if you decide to buy it and part it out. People are always looking for cheap body or interior parts as well as other stuff.
You could buy that car for $2k, but if you tried to build it from scratch by uying parts it would cost a stupidly high amount.
