After my carsound has mysteriously and suddenly burned itself out after only 7 months I've just decided to gut it. I have a DC JDM4-1 header and 2.5" apexi n1 exhaust. Am I going to lose power when I gut this thing?

Also, I heard putting aluminum foil on the o2 sensor will trick it into not sending a check engine code... is that true?

 

You should gain power with a test pipe. And yes the tin foil does work until it burns off.
