I got a messed up suspesion and want to put on coilovers, bad idea???
The toe on the front right tire is "off the charts" as the mechanic put it. I think because of the where the lower control arm connects to the frame, that part of the frame is slightly twisted. Now i've got a set of APC coilovers that I've had for about a year now and I wanted to put them on. Do you think it would cause major problems or what? The car damage really isnt' as bad as it sounds. You really don't even notice it when driving, the car just ever so slightly drifts right a little.
Ok no one knows. Well let me rephrase it. Will lowering a car with the incorrect toe setting cause any other problems with alignment?
Yes and no
You already have problems
If at all possible get the toe to match up front. Hopefully you can get it from .25 in to .25 out. If you can get it to somewhere around that then you will be alright. If you do not want excess tire wear; drive harder. This toe along with camber from the coilovers will give you great handleing, but unless you take corners hard; you will get uneven tire wear.
What was your toe, what drop are you doing, etc details

I never got the specs of what the toe was at because the guy couldnt' measue it. He said it was off the charts. I'm going to put on some APC coilovers and lower it just a little, nothing drastic.
