Default optima battery that fits....

are there any optima batteries that will fit in my 99' civic ex? i guess my battery is the "thin" kind or something. is there anything i can do to get one of the "red covered" optima batteries to fit under my hood?

I think that optima my make one to fit your car....if not look into
SVR...they make one for your car. Have fun.

You can get an Optima Red Top in that car. It looks like it wont fit but it will. Just remove the battery tie down bar that holds in the battery that is in there now and fit the Optima one in there. Technically, you should make a custom battery tie down bar to hold in the Optima but it fits in there snug enough so it wont move around

stinger is coming out with a direct replacement for the civic pretty soon , but the ideas above work just as well

so if i were to get one of those red top optima bastard batteries, how exactly would i keep it from moving around? are there any mods that will keep it in place?

NO man. Optima does not MAKE any batterys that fit. You have to customize it to fit.

Look at optimas website they list all models they have batteries for.

NO man. Optima does not MAKE any batterys that fit. You have to customize it to fit.

they do fit, i've had an optima in my car for bout 2 years now and I don't have a battery brace on it. Where the battery goes it is so cramped that the optima will just fit and you won't have to worry bout it. later
