Beaks Install Pics Inside (Lots of Pics)
I had some hang ups that I've never seen posted here so I figured I would show some pics and give some tips.
Here is the before pic for comparison.
Here is my first hangup. This top nut would not come off. I learned that taking the control arm off completely allowed my to get a dremel in there to grind the welds down before banging the nut off. I later flattened this spot out before putting the plates on. A tiny piece of the sub frame came off with the weld but since the plates on the Beaks kit are so big I wasn't concerned. After the nuts are knocked off there was lots of weld left on the subframe which I grinded down so the plates would sit completely flush.
Here is the next hang up. When I leved the plates out with a bubble level they interfered with the reinforcing steel at the LCA bolt. I ground a little off with the dremel again.
Not to knock the BSQ kit, but the inside reinforcement is nothing like this.
Here's what I trimmed off the abs wire bracket.
Completed
Endlink shot
Like everyone else I'm very impressed with the outcome. It was way more work than I thought. I think the BSQ kit would be easier to install because of only having to remove two welded nuts instead of 6, but I think the Beaks kit is worth the extra reinforcement and quality. Beaks service is top notch by the way.

nice.. this is one worthy to bookmark. Oh btw... what tools did you use to cut the abs bracket and grind down the parts that were in teh way?
And that beaks kit does look hella sturdy... but i have yet to hear of one person having a bad experience wit the bsq becuase it wasn't sturdy enough. just my thoughts.
But how much does the beaks kit cost?

Man, all you guys getting the ITR bar are making me jealous. The hype is driving me crazy and i just want to see if what you guys say is forreal. The beaks kit looks awesome
Looks like a bit more work to install that instead of the bsq kit, but looks good enough to support a 26 mm mugen bar

wow, thanks alot for the pics! i was waiting for a detailed post of the beaks kit.
You had to remove your exhaust for the install too right?
I wish I had the ***** to modify my ABS bracket when I was trying to install my Benen rear lower tie bar..
ended up trading it for a type r strut bar + cash.
thanks again, post more pics if you can of the bracket.

It's 22mm up from 14mm stock. If you search this topic you'll find that I and almost everone that has this upgrade love it. It's the second most effective suspension mod you can do. Good tires is the most effective. You just need to understand how it effects the balance of the car and adjust your driving accordingly. The car was designed to understeer from the factory for safety and this bar drastically changes that.

i just did installed mines yesterday but i used the bsq kit instead. it was kind of hard to remove everything because of the space and all. looks like you also removed the lca i should have done that also. looks a lot easier to reach behind the frame and all. good job!
