Which do you guys recommend? The B&M requires some work (which I don't mind) and is cheaper. The AEM is ready to go but more. Is there anything at risk with going with the B&M?
B&M is a Fuel pressure riser, can only go to like 60 psi
AEM is a Fuel pressure regulator, you can rise and lower. can go to 175 psi if ever needed, can rebuild it if something goes bad internally, can adjust the pressure dial via different size orfices in the fpr .
I say AEM all the way , it is much more versatile and you know no matter how many times you change your sdet up , that will always be nough . . .actually more thna enough for whatever you throw at it .
If you PM me , ill see if I can do a nicer deal on the AEM unit

B&M is not limited to 65psi
I HIGHLY DOUBT you can get the aem to 175. The pump would shut down first.
the fact of the matter is, if you are going over 60 then then you need to upgrade your injectors.

actualy as per the paperwork from B&M yes they are to go to 60 or 65 psi . and from the paperworkl from AEM , yes they do go to 175, i havent excersided that yetm but i have had mine to almost 90 by accident. I didnt say it would odo it on a stock pump either, so please do not assume.
Put it this way I havent had any probs with my AEm and I have had 2 diff all motor set ups with it , 3 nitours set up s and now turbo , it has held up thru a beating becuase i have played with my fuel pressure alot.
Also think of this , when the B&M Craps out , you need to get a new regulator. Becuase you had to cut your stock regulator apart to make this one work , So I still got my stock regulator as back up . . . . On top of that , AEM will let you return anything almost uder any time frame becuase they stand behingd their products,
I never tried to return B&M Stuff, but not everyone is that nice in the indusrty
Like i sad make your choice, but i recommend AEm

My AEM unit wasn't consistent between dyno runs. Sold it, and bought a Vortech (same as B&M) and it's been perfect, consistent run after run. Go with the B&M.

<----- Thinks 175psi is a little much....wonder what the idle is like
the reasoning behind me adding that is to show how sometihn like that cant be outgrown and you can use it on a street car and a race car, , and i mean a real racecar
aem f.p.r. + b&m mech. fuel press. gaugethis is a good setup!! plus aem is more bling!!!!
who cares about bling ....they work nearly the same ...cept one costs alot less because its not backed by some fancy name ...
B&M ownz AEM in terms of company size and product line.

I agree with that completely. maybe if you only read about hondas or something I could see the AEM name being the bigger one.. but in reality..
What about the Vortech FPR? Same thing as AEM as far as I know but it only costs like $60.
I had both and prefered the AEM in terms ease of use. With the B&M the vacuum line is on the same fitting that you use to adjust the pressure making it kind of a hassle to set. The AEM has a seperate adjuster and port. Once set however they both performed about the same.
