What's the requirement for the Mugen N1 ECU? fit for USDM 98 type R?

needs any modifications?

Is it need for the Mugen valve spring set?

A Mugen ECU will plug into a 1998 ITR chassis wiring harness.

I use the Mugen ECU with stock valvesprings.

is it a big differences after you install the Mugen ECU?

even use stock valve springs sets is still ok?

no need to buy the ECU jumper harness?

There is no need for a jumper harness with the Mugen ECU in a 97-99 ITR.

I trust stock ITR valvesprings up to 9100 rpm.

Did you do any dyno after you install the Mugen ECU?

You think any advantages or gain on hp?

any disadvantages?

I have not had a chance to dyno yet.

This ECU is for racing use only.

You will get about 8 mpg with the ECU.

What are you trying to gain by changing the ECU? There may be a more cost effective way to achieve your goal.

8 mpg??
8 Miles Per Gallon

i.e.

BAD GAS MILEAGE

Do not use this on the street unless you like filling up petrol everyday.

Yes, I/H/E will help you in those aspects.

Do a search for those parts to get all the information you could ever want.

Therefore, you think Mugen ECU won't help for the I/H/E?

coz my friend is using it ..........he said it has a lot differences?

especially when the VTEC kicks in..........

What dyno gains did your friend show?

I can't comment on gains with the ECU, because I haven't dynoed it. I don't believe in using the butt dyno to make claims.

Because I think Mugen ECU is for N1 races.......

Therefore, eventhough you don't have I/H/E ..........you should still have gains from it .........right?

I think it's worth it for a car limited to the same specs as the N1 races.

If you're not limited there are better options out there.

You will get about 8 mpg with the ECU.
I get around 25-30 street driven with mine. Track MPG is obviously much lower.

You will see dyno gains without I/H/E with the Mugen N1 ecu.

Mugen valve springs basically equal stock...need to splice some wires if you want your A/C to work...not worth $1300 IMO

Back when I had A/C, it worked without any splicing with a King jumper harness in a 2000 ITR.

Anyone has the dyno after installing the Mugen ECU without any other mods?
