Code 8 is TDC position. (Top Dead Center)
Code 10 is IAT. (Intake Air Temp) Ive got code 10 on my car w/o a swap and its a pain in the *** to fix.

I just fixed my code 10 yesterday. I have a 88' dx with a LS-Vtec in it running a pr3 ecu. I had the exact same prob as you. Try taking the black wire on the IAT sensor plug and splicing into it and then taking it over to the black wire on the coolant temp sensor. Then reset the ecu and start it. See if this takes care of your prob. Thats what I had to do and it took me 2 weeks of research to find out that this prob is caused while going from DPI to MPFI if you dont have good connections in your wiring.
