Default single stage intake manifold affect v-afc tuning?

i had my v-afc tuned a while ago, they said they could only tune it so far with the stock p72, which is a dual stage intake computer(gsr) if i were to get a p30 or a p28 would they be able to tune it more, what benifits would i gain? even more mid range or more top end?

no.it doesnt matter.
However, you should use s P72 for 1.8L engines and a p30 for 1.6 and 1.7L engines

ive seen manny set ups put really good #s with with p28s, i just heard the only drawback to them is that they are harder to tune. the p72 has a dual stage intake programmed into it because that is what gsrs come with stock compared to type rs and b16s which have single stage intake manifolds.

p28 just has a revised program which is why they are chipped.
ease of tuning is just due to the program inside. p72 just happens to be the one
that has the hardware to actually control the intake manifold.

you cant use a stock p28 on a dohc vtec motor. the fuel/timing curves are way
off. thats why you "chip" it with a different,or revised, program.

P28 does not have knock sensor hardware.

ive used a stock p28 in my car before and ive used a chipped one, i used the chipped one right before i had my v-afc tuned and it felt a tad weaker in the mid range with the chipped p28, with the stock p28 it felt pretty weak with the v-afc on with the stock p28, only reved to 7600 too (boo) so does skunk 2 make chips to converyt p72's to single butterfly?
