4-wheel disc swap question
i have a 1993 civic ex coupe and i am getting a set of 94 gsr brakes (front and rear). the guy said it comes with everything except for shocks/springs, lower control arms, and ebrake cables. are these things that i can use from my own car? i heard i will still need integra ebrake cables tho. and what's the most you people would spend for a set of 94 GSR brakes without those parts?

I don't know that it is worth the money to go with a whole gsr setup. Your EX already had the same size front discs as the gsr, however the gsr has larger front calipers. The only thing that you are really getting is the rear disc brakes. I've *heard* that the gsr complete setup is usually in the $500-600 range. Also, make sure that you are getting the prop valve. You may find it easier to use the mc and booster from one of the older civ models.
You can probably use e-brake cables from the 93-95 civ ex coupe w/ABS (it had rear discs), and you will *probably* need new rear brake lines.

well.... don't really know what a good deal the 4 wheel disc brake for the gsr roughly cost but i am doing the same thing to my 93 del sol right now....i am getting the entire GSR 4 wheel disc brake set up with the control arms and e brake cable, etc. for 550.....
I paid 275 for 93 integra rear trailing arms with disks/calipers and the master/booster and prop valve I got a good deal though.
as far as the difference mine fits but has slightly different bushings in the rear lower control arm so I had to use my stock one (I pressed out the bushings in the teg LCA to replace them with energy suspension ones. they did not fit so I'm going to use the civic LCA on the teg RTA)
but for 94-00 it's all the same exept the type R's their LCA are different.

i paid $50 for my gsr front brake setup.. i havent got around to asking the guy what he wants for the rear.. probably not that much seens how the company he gets his motors/halfcuts just sends him the rear disc for free.. this guy was gonna sell a ctr 5 lug conversion for $350.. so i think ill get a good deal on the rear disc
what if i was to just get the rear discs instead? would i still need the 91 civic m/c? i really just want to have 4-wheel disc. if the front gsr rotors are the same size, then i might not go for those anymore. i might just go for the rear discs and do a drum-to-disc swap. so what would i need to complete the rear drum-to-brake swap?
do a search on the drum to disk swap. it comes up at least once a week. I used the howto at http://www.hazone.com to do my rear disc conversion.
