Getting valve adjustment done.. Question
Ok so there's been a weird noise coming from my engine for a few months now. Finally took it to a local shop and they suggested valve adjustment, since it hasn't been done since I got my car 2 years ago.
I figure that this could've been putting a lot of stress on my motor and the guys who diagnosed it today said it's also probably been robbing me of some hp.
My question is, with my engine going so long without it, are there other things I should be checking out? Any other common things that could've happened because of this lagging on my part?
Thanks guys. J

well, besides normal maintenaince you should do every 15,000 or 30,000 miles, you don't really need to do anything out of the ordinary. Just change the fluids(coolant, brake, clutch, engine oil, tranny fluid) and also change the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter..... etc. This is basically the rundown of a 15,000/30,000 mile service, which is usually done at the same time a valve adjustment is done.
anyone know what Acura charges for 60,000mi maintenance...?
keys, thanks man. All the other stuff you mention was just done 3 months ago. Ooil and oil filter change, new wires, plugs, dist cap and rotor.
I'm hoping the valve adjustment breathes some new life into my somewhat mid life crisis B18C, haha.
