Braking power disappears one minute, returns the next COMPLETELY unpredictable
I swapped in a JDM B16A and put some Tein Type RA coilovers on my 94 CX Hatchback. Now, without warning, my brakes just disappear.. the pedal just goes to the floor if you press on it.. If you pump it a few times it works after that.
I don't think I really need to say how DANGEROUS this is !!
Anyone have any idea why? I plan on bleeding the brakes tomorrow afternoon when I can get a friend to help me.. I'm praying that will fix it.. otherwise i have absolutely no idea. It did not do this before the suspension was put in.
Any ideas???
Thanks~

If pumping the brakes 2 or 3 times quickly takes you from nothing to normal,
you need a new master cylinder.
you need a new master cylinder.
Also check your axle nuts. It could be that the rotors are knocking the pads/caliper pistons back in, which is why you need to depress the pedal in order to reseat the pads on the rotors.
Like 7PSI CRX said... Bleed the Brakes..
But if that doesn't help, I would have to say that there's a leak in the Master Cylinder. And that it could be the Primary Cup that's leaking..
But I would also check the Power Booster to see if there's a Vacumm leak..
Good Luck..
