Default CV Boot Goin? Clicking Sound....

Well, low & behold a new problem! Geez i am being thrown a slew of issues with this damn car, one thing after the next ya know? Anyways, i went to make a U-Turn i heard the infamous clicking sound...I am like oh shiat! what happens if you don't fix it? Or long periods of driving it this way? Is it something i can fix myself? The cost? I'd really appreciate help from you guys, thanks,

Blessed Be,

go ahead and fix it. a new axle from napa or somewhere is like $50, and it's really easy to change

The boot won't click. The joint clicks. If you already hear clicking, just replace the whole axle. Nobody should risk a failed CV joint to save $75.

yep boot just protects the joint from getting dust / water inside of it

replace it, it only cost like $90 to get it installed if you shop around - IMO it's a lot easier - it gets so annoying after a while

also, long period effects of not fixing it include, wheel falling right off the axel, hearing a popping noise until it does fly off the axle, annoyance, annoyance, annoyance

just fix it!
