Default Rim offset question ?

I am currently looking for rims for my rex and i don't really understand offsets. The rim that I'm looking at is the new enkie mm2, it is avilable in both 16X7 4-100/114. 42SM and 16X7 4-100/108 42AM. What is the difference and what would look better on a CR-X, (I have the ww kit)

what you have posted are not offsets, but lug patterns, both of those wheels should work fine, since they both have the 4x100 lug pattern..
