what does an H22 prelude weigh?
im not sure which years had the 195hp H22A motor but what would one eqipped with that motor weigh?
im still kinda tossing around the idea of swapping in the H22 into my Integra and I know the 94 Integra is around 3300lbs, just wondering what kinda weight difference the two cars have.

Integra's weigh around the 2600lbs mark, the 5th gen preludes weigh around 3000lbs. Mine weighed in at the track with full interior and gas at 3250, sh's weigh a blittle more, thats with me in it

curb weight (full of gas, full of oil etc) on a 3rd gen Integra hatchback is ~2650lbs, mine weighs ~2250lbs, curb weight on a base model 5th gen Prelude is ~2950lbsEDIT: whoops, didn't see GottaLude's post, but we have pretty much the same numbers

don't waste your time with that stupid swap idea. Geta friggin b18, or a sir b16. H-motors online has b16, tranny, and ecu for $1200 - and I think okanawa has it for $1000. At least you'd have a motor with infinite possibilities. Power to weight with that h22 is not even comparable to the b18c. Don't waste money on a stupid h22a4, either. They don't have the short ratio tranny, have an open deck block, and honda's claim of 5 more hp is crap. They are all obdII, so scrap that stupid idea. Why am I arguing with myself? You're never going to do a swap anyways...
lol i was just looking for some more torque out of a motor
and im sure im gonna change my mind about 808987656 times before i actually make a move

oh yeah, and B series are ALL open deck you dumbshit, if you get the H22A1, it is a closed deck, besides the fact that the H22 has a FAR superior design than any POS B series, all that needs to be done is to be capitalized upon that design
nah you have to be wrong bud, i can pick up my h22a4 by myself, and im 180lbs (not cut either) and the transmission only weighs 70lbs and the alt and header are negligable. i know i can't deadlift almost 400lbs. i think its more like 250lbs for the h22a4 engine. jsut a guess tho, i would love to think i was that strong lol
Well you're stronger than you think then. The drivetrain was measured with an accurate hanging scale... 475lbs. This was an H22A1, not A4, though I'd expect them to be the same. And if you don't believe me, believe the shipping company. Crated weight was 500lbs.
all's im saying is that i picked up my h22 block with the head and the external cooling lines filter, full of oil distributor timingbelt but with no accessories all by myself, and there is NO way i could pick up 400lbs like that by myself.
my 5th gen base with just the spare tire removed and all my stuff out of it weighed in at 2860. I forget how much fuel I had in it
cotton: i think we should give you some sort of prize for the oddest/weirdest/most original icon thingys
I'm stupid and can't even spell cotton right!

Not bad, I could barely move around my B18B. Me and my friend took it up a flight of stairs.....one step at a time
And to the guy that said that a H series is soooo superior, you should look at the dynos of N/A H22's versus just 2.0L VTEC motors, or even try against the "big block" 2.1L-2.2L B-Series motors.

I dont want to start another thread so I'll post here....
I looked at the inside of driver side door (93' SR) and it says my car weighs 1700KG (1700 x 2.2 = 3740lbs?)
did I read it wrong or do the canadian models have a trunk full of lead???
the h23 shouldn't make much of a difference then the h22 should it?

that weight is like max capacity or something goofy. weight of full tank of gas, plus car, plus max passenger & cargo load. Take your car's curb weight and subtract it from that # and that's suppose to be the max weight you can carry in your car
how the HELL did you pickup a h22 yourself? let alone get your arms around it. did you pick one side up while the other was on the groudn and walk it somewhere? me and my roomate picked my h22 up by the 2 of us. and its heavy as ****. im sorry.. you need to go do the worlds strongest man contest or some ****.
now.. when i had my h23 in the back of the truck i could slide it around and pick up one side of it myself no problem. but to totally pick a motor up.. and my friends b16 felt just as heavy as the h23.
