not really sure what the letters OEM stand for, but basically it means FACTORY parts. not performance, just parts in general that are made by the manufacturer.
They are stock parts, you had it right the first time.... original equipment manufacturer. But if your friends want to replace stock parts for stock parts Im sure the dealers would love to sell them....
Yeah I believe you're right about OEM meaing"Original Equipment Manufacturer", but what I think people mean by swapping your stock parts for OEM is to swap stock GSR parts for stock Type-R parts, or anything that's made by honda.

OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer... what people are probably telling you is to replace your worn stock parts w/ the quality/grade, fitment, etc of the original parts and not to go w/ cheap generics or something... dunnoz
hmmmmmmm, this is a really weird post that it random, stupid, and pointless. If I was a mod I would immediately delate this thread.
But just so I sound like a techincal wizard like 98% of people who post here want to do, I'll add my comments. It stands for Original Equipment Manufacture. What this term means is that the company that produce your car also makes parts for your car. Why they make parts for your car is as follows. First, they need the parts to make your car, let's say you are driving down the road and a tire hits your bumper and screws up your bumper and the housing for the lights, well these parts will be available to you to replace the broken parts. There are many other example I can list, but I think I've proven my technical wizard ability.
