not really, the only problems we ran into were minor.......the bracket relocation was probly the biggest pain, and putting in the hydraulic cables was rather difficult too, the car went in last saturday morning at 1000am, and was done by sunday night at 100am. here's some more:

are there any drawbacks of switching from auto to manual? like, are there any potential risks to consider?

same here except i just bought a a mount from Placeracing.com, the pedal assembly was hard to take out. after a while i just got frustrated and swapped the brake pedal instead of the whole thing. what were the steps you took when you took out the old pedals and my the manual ones in? and did you hook up your cruise control?

-no drawbacks whatsoever.....only way you'd be able to tel it was an auto before is by lookin up the vin.......or maybe you could tell by how there is two huge holes lookin through to the ground in my console?

-a weird thing though (can be fixed if i want it) is that i don't have to hit the clutch to start it, somethin to get used to , but it's okay.

- Yup, just ordered a new bracket from honda, had to be moved over about an inch, it was 40 bills

- still have cruise control too.... I think?.....never used it anyway.

Buti'm totally happy with the swap overall.

yea i dont have to engauge the clutch when i start it either, i just jumped the harness with a paper clip.
Actually my question was. What were stepsyou did to take out the old pedal assembly? i found it hard to take out the auto bracket because the steering column was in the way.

yeah, it was a pain in the ***, we basically took apart the whole assembly and just tried to make it as easy as possible it just took more time

Nice job , I did an auto to manual in my rex. The pedals were a pain to get out and in, did you cut that clutch pedal off ? Just asking because mine were all together.

My first car was an 85 Civic hatch and I didn't have to press the clutch pedal to start it either
