Not mine, but I saw a white 4 door teg ripped to the shell today. Engine, lights, hood, bumpers all gone and the windshield was smashed. Most disturbingly, it seemed like the theives worked on the spot and didn't even bother trying to start the car. The car is parked on Watkins Dr, behind Pentland dorms...less than half a mile from the actual campus.

now i'm half glad that scotts cousin lives in our apt complex and has those two guns. and is just as paranoid bout his car now after some guys fucked wit it.

And yea it is pretty ghetto here.. and dangerous for our cars... one of my neighbors had her car jacked from the car ports like whne it was 1 month old!! and another one of my friends who also lives at this apt complex got her stereo jacked when her car was parked 20 ft from her front door. But thus far, luck has been on my side... *knock on wood*

 

holy fukin **** man. i live in east lothian and i drive my car (CAR INFO NOT DISCLOSED!) i see some nice *** integras parked here all the time. im gettin kinda paranoid now, i uisually find good parking though.

I used to live in E1. And I still remember when I had my car parked from a spot where I can see it from my dorm room, but when i got to it after parking for a few days the rear quarter panel on the passenger side was kicked in. Almost 1G in damage. My car was pretty much brand new, too. There were also other misc **** like stolen emblems (3 times) and clear corners. Now I live in an apt with garage. Hell a lot better, but still not safe.

Auto theft a big problem here in Riverside? I moved here recently...
And would you say its more professional thieves (stip everything) or just amateurs (don't know how to disable alarms, only take rims and easy stuff)

 

I saw a **** load of broken glass on the side of watkins the other day next to a couple civics. Oh well, I don't really get paranoid about parking there. If, I ever see anyone messing with my car, they are gonna go down.

 

when'd you live in E1? My gf lived in E1 back during the '98-'99 school year... I lived in West Lothian (A3) back then... no resnet = they didn't have resnet in all the dorms there until Winter Qtr of my sophomore year.

 

I personally think it's a big enough problem. Used to hear about friend's friends' car getting jacked every few weeks. Someone I knew got his car jacked from his apt garage. Also cars on bricks...esp, in the apartment area close to campus.

The white teg I saw yesterday was the worse, tho. Stripped naked on a public road.

sucks man i know how it feels. the other day some fool tried to jack me eg6 in lot 19. damn thieves. they broke in and took the whole igntion apart good thing they couldnt get the car started because of my alarm. sorry bout ur car man.

 

i live in AI right now. I heard that 5 tegs were taken from lothian in the first week of fall quarter this year. All in one night too. According to security, they came in a van and worked really ****** quick. They were in and out.

 

my teg was found in riverside a few days ago. stripped nake also. still on my i rims but no shocks or springs. no engine tranny etc. only chassis. all interior gone. if anyone knows about any gsr parts for sale and can get any vin #'s let me know and i will come down to issue 1 big *** woopin. any info will do. thanks people

 

I used to go to UCR, but now live in Northern CA. "Luckily for me" at the time, I had a Hyundai Excel and it never got fucked with there.
My cousin goes there now and says it is really bad. Too many worthless people.

The creepy part is that my name is also Eric, drive a teg,...AND also go to UCR.

The other day I saw this nice almond colored integra with a jdm front end, optional sideskirts, pretty nice and fixed up in general. The dumb bastard forgot to lock his doors! No autolock or club either! Hell, i bet he doesn't even have a kill switch. These people don't care to protect their investments at all.

 

actually found out my car was towed from the city perris in riverside county. totally gutted to ****. theives gotta remember what comes around goes around. and maybe even worse. ***!n b!tches.
