stock paint on 5th gen
OK, so i was told that some of the hondas didnt come with clear coat for certain colors and certain years, and i was told i was one of the lucky ones to not have it. Is there any truth to this? (97 prelude sh milano red btw) anyway, my honda dealer thought it would be nice to detail my car for me, after i specifically told them not to touch it, and the buffer faded a spot in my paint.......that is the only reason i am asking, that and i asked about touching it up and the body shop told me they would paint the whole car and clear it, other wise if they just painted and cleared the spot it would look different
i have 2001 milano red SH.
i wonder if there is a clearcoat too. if its there, its awefully thin. i think there must be because the paint under the hood is much duller than the rest of the car. i put 3 coats of zaino on before the winter and that makes it shine. seems the paint on the honda is a bit thinner than what was on my integra.

almost all acrylic based paints have a clear coat, they probably had a noobie do the buffing on your car and burnt thur the clear. u should make the dealer pay for any damanages
