Having TPS and Map sensor problems, Y8
Okay now im gonna try to go as in depth as I can here. Me and a freind just rebuild a D16Y8, it had spun bearings, so I rebuilt it with everything new, and machined, etc. Not that all that matters.
But the problem is when we were pulling the motor it swung back and broke the TPS sensor, so we took a TPS sensor off one of the A6 throttle bodies we have. amd put it on the Z6 throttle body. We are using a Z6 intake manifold.
What happens is when you rev it, slow its fine, under hard acceleration it bogs down. Now to me it sounds like a TPS problem. But I dont know if its because I am using a SI TPS on a Z6 throttle body(i do not see hwo that would affect it). Or what.
We are also using the map sensor on the throttle body.
Anyone have any ideas?

Probe the red wire on the tps with a volt meter, key on, and check the voltage. It should be set around .45 closed and about 4 volts wot.
