what the hell is the deal with NGK-r -11 plugs?
my buddy bought these for his 95 gsr with a high compression head and block and they didnt burn the fuel so we swapped back to his stock plugs and they worked fine???? when the -11 plugs were in his car dumped twice as much fuel as the plugs could burn so as a result his car would not start..he got sick of the -11's and gave them to me(brand new pretty much) so i gapped them for a b16 and slapped them in my b16a motor and at first they sounded wierd and the motor sounded like a muscle car deep and rumbly with some pops...now they work fine in my car and my internals are stock? arent the -11's for high compression motors? arent they hot plugs? why dont they work right in his high compression motor and why do they work fine in my stock internal motor?
actually dependig on how high your compression is .. sometimes you have to run 1 step colder still.. bcuz of a very high compression.. i think it applies for 11.1+ motors cuz i use to have a gsr with ctr pistons and single layer head gasket.. and run actually better 1 step lower colder plugs.. so its not always high compression hotter plugs...
